Anti-HCBP6 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HCBP6 is a known alias name of the protein FUN14 domain containing 2, encoded by the FUNDC2 gene in humans. This 189-amino acid residue protein is known to bind directly and specifically 1,2-Diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1'-myo-inositol-3',4',5'-bisphosphate) (PIP3) leading to the recruitment of PIP3 to mitochondria and may play a role in the regulation of the platelet activation via AKT/GSK3B/cGMP signaling pathways. It is localized to the nucleus and mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in platelets.
