Anti-LLGL antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The LLGL antigen is another term for the human protein LLGL scribble cell polarity complex component 1, encoded by the LLGL1 gene. The protein is known to function in neuronal development and cytoskeleton organization, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1064 residues and a mass of 115.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed in the brain, kidney, and muscle but is barely seen in the heart and placenta. The LLGL protein is a member of the WD repeat L(2)GL protein family. Other alias names for LLGL include DLG4, HUGL, and HUGL-1. These LLGL antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
