Anti-Lcb1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Lcb1 is a known alias name of the protein serine palmitoyltransferase long chain base subunit 1, encoded by the SPTLC1 gene in humans. This 473-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the ER of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for Lcb1 include ALS27, HSAN1, and HSN1. Western Blot is the most common application for the Lcb1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
