Anti-KCa1.1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The KCa1.1 antigen is another term for the human protein potassium calcium-activated channel subfamily M alpha 1, encoded by the KCNMA1 gene. The protein is known to function in the regulation of apoptosis and the transport of ions, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1236 residues and a mass of 137.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The KCa1.1 protein is a member of the Potassium channel protein family.
