Anti-HNP-4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HNP-4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DEFA4 gene, which encodes defensin alpha 4. This protein is known to function in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of HNP-4 has a canonical amino acid length of 97 residues and a protein mass of 10.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the spleen, lymph node, and bone marrow. Other names for this target antigen include DEF4 and HP-4. Indicated applications for HNP-4 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
