Anti-LI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TGM1 gene, which encodes transglutaminase 1. This protein is known to function in keratinocyte differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of LI has a canonical amino acid length of 817 residues and a protein mass of 89.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, skin, esophagus, and cervix. Other names for this target antigen include ARCI1, ICR2, and KTG. Indicated applications for LI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
