Anti-LAMA4*-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LAMA4*-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LAMA4 gene, which encodes laminin subunit alpha 4. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of LAMA4*-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1823 residues and a protein mass of 202.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the placenta and smooth muscle. Other names for this target antigen include CMD1JJ, LAMA3, and LAMA4*-1. ELISA is the most common application for the LAMA4*-1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
