Anti-LPD antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LPD antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ACSBG1 gene, which encodes acyl-CoA synthetase bubblegum family member 1. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of LPD has a canonical amino acid length of 724 residues and a protein mass of 81.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, ER, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the hippocampus, cerebral cortex, caudate, and adrenal gland. LPD is a member of the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme protein family.
