Anti-Mash2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Mash2 is a known alias name of the protein achaete-scute family bHLH transcription factor 2, encoded by the ASCL2 gene in humans. This 193-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of transcription and the regulation of cell differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the extravillous trophoblasts of the developing placenta. Other synonyms for Mash2 include ASH2 and HASH2. Indicated applications for Mash2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
