Anti-LARP3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LARP3 is a known alias name of the protein small RNA binding exonuclease protection factor La, encoded by the SSB gene in humans. This 408-amino acid residue protein is known to bind to the 3' poly(U) terminus of nascent RNA polymerase III transcripts, protecting them from exonuclease digestion and facilitating their folding and maturation. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term La is another synonym for LARP3.
