Anti-kuz antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target kuz is a known alias name of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase domain 10, encoded by the ADAM10 gene in humans. This 748-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell to cell signaling and in utero embryonic development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved and glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain. Other synonyms for kuz include AD10, AD18, and CD156c. These kuz antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
