Anti-HC7-I antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HC7-I antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PSMB2 gene, which encodes proteasome 20S subunit beta 2. This protein is reported to be a non-catalytic component of the 20S core proteasome complex involved in the proteolytic degradation of most intracellular proteins. The human version of HC7-I has a canonical amino acid length of 201 residues and a protein mass of 22.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as proteasome subunit beta type-2.
