Anti-H4/p antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the H4/p antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ITIH4 gene, which encodes inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 4. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of H4/p has a canonical amino acid length of 930 residues and a protein mass of 103.4 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include GP120 and GP120.
