Anti-CEP-68 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CEP-68 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CRTAC1 gene, which encodes cartilage acidic protein 1. The human version of CEP-68 has a canonical amino acid length of 661 residues and a protein mass of 71.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the extracellular matrix and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the fallopian tube and nasopharynx.
