Anti-CED3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CED3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IFT43 gene, which encodes intraflagellar transport 43. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly, among other biological roles. The human version of CED3 has a canonical amino acid length of 208 residues and a protein mass of 23.5 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon, tonsil, and cerebellum. CED3 is a member of the IFT43 protein family.
