Anti-CBP86 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CBP86 is a known alias name of the protein calcium binding tyrosine phosphorylation regulated, encoded by the CABYR gene in humans. This 493-amino acid residue protein is believed to function as a a regulator of both motility- and head-associated functions such as capacitation and the acrosome reaction. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in elongating spermatids and spermatozoa. Other synonyms for CBP86 include CABYRa, CABYRc, and CABYRc/d.
