Anti-ELAM antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ELAM antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SELE gene, which encodes selectin E. This protein is known to function in inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of ELAM has a canonical amino acid length of 610 residues and a protein mass of 66.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the bone marrow and colon. Other names for this target antigen include CD62E and ELAM1. Some ELAM antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
