Anti-DX-ALPHA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DX-ALPHA is a known alias name of the protein major histocompatibility complex, class II, DQ alpha 2, encoded by the HLA-DQA2 gene in humans. This 255-amino acid residue protein is known to bind peptides derived from antigens that access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells (APC) and presents them on the cell surface for recognition by the CD4 T-cells. It is localized to the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for DX-ALPHA include DC-alpha, DQA1, and DX-ALPHA. Indicated applications for DX-ALPHA antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
