Anti-HMP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HMP is a known alias name of the protein inner membrane mitochondrial protein, encoded by the IMMT gene in humans. This 758-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex of the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays crucial roles in the maintenance of crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and formation of contact sites to the outer membrane. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Western Blot is the most common application for the HMP antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
