Anti-HPCL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HPCL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HACL1 gene, which encodes 2-hydroxyacyl-CoA lyase 1. This protein is known to function in fatty acid metabolism, among other biological roles. The human version of HPCL has a canonical amino acid length of 578 residues and a protein mass of 63.7 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the peroxisomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include 2-HPCL and 2-HPCL. Indicated applications for HPCL antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
