Anti-HAC1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HAC1 is a known alias name of the protein tripartite motif containing 3, encoded by the TRIM3 gene in humans. This 744-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in nervous system development and protein ubiquitination, among other biological processes. It is localized to the Golgi and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, heart, uterus and testis.
