Anti-GP135 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GP135 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CNTN1 gene, which encodes contactin 1. This protein is known to function in axon guidance and brain development, among other biological roles. The human version of GP135 has a canonical amino acid length of 1018 residues and a protein mass of 113.3 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the testis, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. Other names for this target antigen include CMYP12 and F3. Western Blot is the most common application for the GP135 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
