Anti-GNT2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GNT2 is a known alias name of the protein alpha-1,6-mannosyl-glycoprotein 2-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, encoded by the MGAT2 gene in humans. This 447-amino acid residue protein is known to play an important role in protein N-glycosylation. It is localized to the Golgi of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for GNT2 include CDG2A, CDGS2, and GLCNACTII.
