Anti-HCBP12 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HCBP12 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RDH11 gene, which encodes retinol dehydrogenase 11. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of HCBP12 has a canonical amino acid length of 318 residues and a protein mass of 35.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in the kidney and prostate. Other names for this target antigen include ARSDR1 and CGI82.
