Anti-GAL13 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The GAL13 antigen is another term for the human protein galectin 13, encoded by the LGALS13 gene. The protein is known to bind beta-galactoside and lactose. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 139 residues and a mass of 16.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is notably expressed in adult and fetal spleen, fetal kidney, adult urinary bladder and placenta.
