Anti-MAP1L antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MAP1L antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MAP1A gene, which encodes microtubule associated protein 1A. This protein is known to function in dendrite development, among other biological roles. The human version of MAP1L has a canonical amino acid length of 2803 residues and a protein mass of 305.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, and cerebellum. MAP1L is a member of the MAP1 protein family.
