Anti-Kv7.5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Kv7.5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KCNQ5 gene, which encodes potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily Q member 5. This protein is known to function in potassium ion transport and the transport of ions, among other biological roles. The human version of Kv7.5 has a canonical amino acid length of 932 residues and a protein mass of 102.2 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the cerebral cortex and skeletal muscle. Kv7.5 is a member of the Potassium channel protein family.
