Anti-metL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the metL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the METTL2B gene, which encodes methyltransferase 2B, tRNA N3-cytidine. This protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that mediates N(3)-methylcytidine modification of residue 32 of the tRNA anticodon loop of tRNA(Thr)(UGU) and tRNA(Arg)(CCU). The human version of metL has a canonical amino acid length of 378 residues and a protein mass of 43.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. metL is a member of the METL protein family. Indicated applications for metL antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
