Anti-mCANP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the mCANP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CAPN2 gene, which encodes calpain 2. This protein is known to function in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of mCANP has a canonical amino acid length of 700 residues and a protein mass of 80 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix, urinary bladder, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include CANP2, CANPL2, and CANPml. Western Blot is a widely used application for the mCANP antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
