Anti-LonHS antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The LonHS antigen is another term for the human protein lon peptidase 1, mitochondrial, encoded by the LONP1 gene. The protein is known to function in pathways of aging and the response to oxidative stress, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 959 residues and a mass of 106.5 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The LonHS protein is a member of the Peptidase S16 protein family. Other alias names for LonHS include CODASS, LON, and LONP.
