Anti-LACH antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the LACH antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ACOT7 gene, which encodes acyl-CoA thioesterase 7. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of LACH has a canonical amino acid length of 380 residues and a protein mass of 41.8 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate and cerebellum. Other names for this target antigen include ACH1, ACH1, and ACT. Indicated applications for LACH antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
