Anti-L1MT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the L1MT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MRPL1 gene, which encodes mitochondrial ribosomal protein L1. This protein is known to function in mitochondrial translation, among other biological roles. The human version of L1MT has a canonical amino acid length of 325 residues and a protein mass of 36.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. L1MT is a member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL1 protein family. Western Blot is the most common application for the L1MT antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
