Anti-KN antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KN is a known alias name of the protein complement C3b/C4b receptor 1 (Knops blood group), encoded by the CR1 gene in humans. This 2039-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Receptors of complement activation (RCA) protein family. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the spleen, lymph node, kidney, bone marrow, and appendix. Other synonyms for KN include C3BR, C4BR, and CD35. Flow Cytometry is the most common application for the KN antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
