Anti-Hph3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Hph3 is a known alias name of the protein egl-9 family hypoxia inducible factor 3, encoded by the EGLN3 gene in humans. This 239-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a prolyl hydroxylase that mediates hydroxylation of proline residues in target proteins, such as PKM, TELO2, ATF4 and HIF1A. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed at low levels. Other synonyms for Hph3 include prolyl hydroxylase EGLN3, HIF-PH3, and HIF-prolyl hydroxylase 3.
