Anti-HSD-3.8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HSD-3.8 is a known alias name of the protein sperm associated antigen 1, encoded by the SPAG1 gene in humans. This 926-amino acid residue protein is believed to play a role in the cytoplasmic assembly of the ciliary dynein arms (By similarity). It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, endometrium, bronchus, and bone marrow. Other synonyms for HSD-3.8 include CILD28, CT140, and DNAAF13.
