Anti-HHC antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The HHC antigen is another term for the human protein calcium sensing receptor, encoded by the CASR gene. The protein is reported to be a G-protein-coupled receptor that senses changes in the extracellular concentration of calcium ions and plays a key role in maintaining calcium homeostasis. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1078 residues and a mass of 120.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in the temporal lobe, frontal lobe, parietal lobe, hippocampus, and cerebellum. The HHC protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 3 protein family. Other alias names for HHC include CAR, EIG8, and FHH. Western Blot is a widely used application for the HHC antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
