Anti-HACD3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydratase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 362 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis, kidney, brain, liver and weakly in skeletal muscle, spleen and heart. A member of the Very long-chain fatty acids dehydratase HACD protein family, HACD3 is known to catalyze the third of the four reactions of the long-chain fatty acids elongation cycle. Synonyms for this target antigen include BIND1, HSPC121, PTPLAD1, very-long-chain (3R)-3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydratase 3, butyrate-induced protein 1, and B-IND1. HACD3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the HACD3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
