Anti-IC2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IC2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DYNC1I2 gene, which encodes dynein cytoplasmic 1 intermediate chain 2. This protein is known to act as one of several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are thought to be involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. The human version of IC2 has a canonical amino acid length of 638 residues and a protein mass of 71.5 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DIC74 and DNCI2. Indicated applications for IC2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
