Anti-HLC-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HLC-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NDUFC2 gene, which encodes NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase subunit C2. This protein is known to function in electron transport, among other biological roles. The human version of HLC-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 119 residues and a protein mass of 14.2 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include B14.5b, B14.5b, and CI-B14.5b. Indicated applications for HLC-1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
