Anti-IGFBP8 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target IGFBP8 is a known alias name of the protein cellular communication network factor 2, encoded by the CCN2 gene in humans. This 349-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pathways of aging and angiogenesis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in bone marrow and thymic cells. Other synonyms for IGFBP8 include CTGF and HCS24.
