Anti-HSE antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HSE antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HSD17B6 gene, which encodes hydroxysteroid 17-beta dehydrogenase 6. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of HSE has a canonical amino acid length of 317 residues and a protein mass of 36 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the liver and lung. This target antigen may also be known as RODH. Indicated applications for HSE antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
