Anti-GluN2D antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GluN2D is a known alias name of the protein glutamate ionotropic receptor NMDA type subunit 2D, encoded by the GRIN2D gene in humans. This 1336-amino acid residue protein is known to be a component of NMDA receptor complexes that function as heterotetrameric, ligand-gated ion channels with high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the small intestine, kidney, hypothalamus, cerebral cortex, and bronchus. Other synonyms for GluN2D include DEE46, EB11, and EIEE46.
