Anti-GEP100 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GEP100 is a known alias name of the protein IQ motif and Sec7 domain ArfGEF 1, encoded by the IQSEC1 gene in humans. This 963-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, ovary, heart, lung, liver, kidney and leukocytes. Other synonyms for GEP100 include ARF-GEP100, ARFGEP100, and BRAG2.
