Anti-GV-PLA2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GV-PLA2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLA2G5 gene, which encodes phospholipase A2 group V. This protein is known to function in fatty acid metabolism and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of GV-PLA2 has a canonical amino acid length of 138 residues and a protein mass of 15.7 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, cell membrane, and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include FRFB and GV-PLA2. Indicated applications for GV-PLA2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
