Anti-BTF1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the BTF1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BTN2A1 gene, which encodes butyrophilin subfamily 2 member A1. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of BTF1 has a canonical amino acid length of 527 residues and a protein mass of 59.6 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and heart muscle. Other names for this target antigen include BK14H9.1 and BT2.1. Indicated applications for BTF1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
