This target is a reported synonym of the PRPF40A gene, which encodes pre-mRNA processing factor 40 homolog A. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of FLAF1 has a canonical amino acid length of 957 residues and a protein mass of 108.8 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. FLAF1 is a member of the PRPF40 protein family.
