Anti-CHIP28 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CHIP28 is a known alias name of the protein aquaporin 1 (Colton blood group), encoded by the AQP1 gene in humans. This 269-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the cellular response to hypoxia, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in erythrocytes. Other synonyms for CHIP28 include AQP-CHIP and CO. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CHIP28 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
