Anti-C4ST2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target C4ST2 is a known alias name of the protein carbohydrate sulfotransferase 12, encoded by the CHST12 gene in humans. This 414-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the transfer of sulfate to position 4 of the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residue of chondroitin and desulfated dermatan sulfate. It is localized to the Golgi of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types.
