Anti-CEP44 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centrosomal protein 44. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 390 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. Synonyms for this target antigen include HBV PreS1-transactivated protein 3, centrosomal protein 44kDa, and centrosomal protein of 44 kDa. CEP44 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CEP44 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
