Anti-Cavin 2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Cavin 2 is a known alias name of the protein caveolae associated protein 2, encoded by the CAVIN2 gene in humans. This 425-amino acid residue protein is known to play an important role in caveolar biogenesis and morphology. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the heart and lung, and expressed at lower levels in the brain, kidney, liver, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle. Other synonyms for Cavin 2 include PS-p68, SDPR, and SDR. Indicated applications for Cavin 2 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
